Goku stops and doesn't believe her because of the way she looks. Bulma gets out and tells him she is a human. Goku thinks it is a monster who wants to steal his fish and so he attacks the bike and smashes the window. The bike and Bulma in it collide into the boy and his fish. Goku spots the ship also and sees that it is landing near his house. She spots the king's men in an airplane and tries to beat them to the ball. On the road nearby, a girl named Bulma is also after the magic balls. A Giant Fish almost eats him, but in the end, Goku is the victor. The boy then goes to go catch a fish for lunch. He thinks the ball is his grandfather's and prays to it. The king doesn't care of this, he just wants the ball, and he'd pay anything for them, and tells Pasta he'll pay in Blood Rubies.įar away from the kingdom lives a boy named Goku, who owns the Dragon Ball. The king wants it which means he would then have five Dragon Balls, but there is a couple fortune hunters who are also after the balls too. One of his soldiers, Pasta, enters his palace telling him she located another Dragon Ball. The Blood Rubies make him hungry for more food, and more treasures. The king has been transformed into a hideous beast by the Blood Rubies.
Pansy decides to teach them a lesson and leaves the kingdom in search of help.Īt the king's palace, the king is eating and throwing food everywhere, and criticizing his men. The trooper leaves in a jeep to go back to the palace. The trooper likes his courage and attacks him with a fist to the face, knocking the man down. Pansy's father tells the trooper his opinion on the excavation and how it's destroying the crops and the kingdom. The trooper backs off as the Major, Bongo, steps forward and crushes a rock revealing a Blood Ruby. The trooper retaliates, but Pansy's father steps in. She shoots her slingshot at one of the king's troopers. The king's men are scavenging for what lies beneath the land, Blood Rubies, but one girl stands up to the king and his men. Puar's voice is as funny as ever.Evil has spread throughout the land starting with a kingdom and its ruler, Gurumes. It's just great to see the first in a huge movie series. I would recommend this to non fans if only so they could get a nice introduction to the series. It's always weird to see this much material being put in a 50 minute movie! I actually was impressed with the end result. It doesn't matter, because it still captures the spirit of the Dragonball series. I mean, they act nothing like Pilaf and his henchmen. It was weird how they replaced Emperor Pilaf and his minions with these new characters. It's great to see these classic characters even if it's not an original concept. It helps that the animation is so gorgeous. I actually ended up enjoying this film because even though it doesn't really add anything new to a great franchise, it was enjoyable in its own right. It turns out it's actually a retelling of the original "Dragonball" series! I admit that I was kind of turned off by the idea that I would just see the same stories that I had seen before. Now, the weird thing is that I had no idea what the plot of this film was. Being a huge fan of the Dragonball franchise, I simply had to watch this, although I do just watch all available movies.
